Baseball's Best Offensive Metric?
Just a little SQL for ya, in my search for the best offensive statistic for drafting baseball players I came up with this.
“select (sum((2b)*2)+sum((3b)*3)+sum((hr)*4)+bb+hbp+(H-2b-3b-hr))/(sum(ab)+sum(bb)+sum(hbp)) FROM B_primary where year=2008 group by name;” Yes, it’s Albert Pujols.
